
Alex Walker is (L2) qualified with Swim England in teaching, coaching, and open water coaching, and with England Athletics as a leader in running fitness.
A long time open water swimmer, including 2 solo end-to-ends of Windermere, lakes and rivers are very much home. He also trains with St Albans Masters, and was ‘1st Male’ the 2025 Boulter’s to Bray 5.6km swim.
“My current roster of clients includes budding Iron Men and Women, those who are afraid of fish, adults with ‘rusty’ skills, adults wishing to learn Front Crawl from scratch, right through to competitive club swimmers who just want to make sure they start their open water journey safely.
Alex Walker spent 5 years as a development coach for City of St Albans Swimming Club, as well as assisting at Amersham Swimming Club. He was then performance coach at Bushey Swimming Club, before returning to CoStA to lead their Open Water squad and to coach performance and competitive swimmers in the pool.
